After some requests, my BWCA Map has been posted as a mural. I know, now, that I have to clear a wall in my office to add this amazing print! It’s still my favorite (don’t tell the others).
Please keep your ideas coming! I’m happy to consider quite a bit!
Our world is in excess with access! We can find information and products nearly anywhere. Yet Earth’s rotation hasn’t changed. The sun rises and sets, as it has in our memories. Some things change, some do not.
So is the nature of my little mapping business! 😉
I have decided to open some of my designs to imediate download, for printing or whatever resonable need. When you go to my site, look for the Category called “Instant Download.” I’ll be creating images specifically for this field!
Here’s one of my downloadable images Click!!!
Prices tend to be lower for these products, because I don’t have any logistical and material needs, other than the original production time.
For printing, I recommend heavy card stock or quality gloss and matte paper. Larger prints can be taken to local office supply or print shops. They can be printed smaller than the notes dimensions. Larger….? Roll of the dice!
As things go, after working a couple of years as an home improvement assistant, I have struck out on my own. What this means is total control over my projects, which I’m used to. But, I’ll miss working with my old buddy, who has given me my home improvement education. I am completely confident in my work.
Other news includes a wider interest in my BWCA map. There is a user group that has been in conversation about nothing less than my map! They are assisting in some edits and improvements, to enable a new edition! It will be featured in a charticle at Canoe and Kayak Magazine, too!
I love creating maps. And I love input from folks, so they love it, too!
I will be hosting this event for another three days. All the maps I produce now are made from scratch using public domain data, converted and laid out to create clean and readable information in an aesthetic setting. My mission is to foster interest in printed maps for people of all ages by building beautifully designed and geographically accurate designs. They are educational! Frankly, I’ve got a huge backlog of map ideas. I wish there was more time in the week!
As promised, I will be holding my map giveaway, this week!
I’ve decided to kick off the event at the publishing of an interview by a widely read blogger, Thirdeyemom!
Thirdeyemom? This is the blogger name for Nicole Melancon, traveller, writer, parent and humanitarian. She has agreed to interview me for her new blog series. Please, feel free to check it out, as well as her other work, as she studies the world as an explorer, and assists with projects and concepts to improve our planet.

I admit, the title of this post is somewhat bland and informative. I usually have to trade creativity with practicality, sometimes…
So, I made it to my coffee shop today. EVP is about a mile from home. Bright setting, nice music, and people. The Friday buzz matches my Friday caffeine buzz. Couldn’t be much more perfect.
I will admit my nerdiness from time to time, just to prove that a person like me can develop and maybe even thrive in our American society, as it is. At the beginning of the week, I weighed by backpack… 14 pounds. I’ve been considering this through the week and have decided that I need to beef up my workout. So today, I added an oversized coffee table Van Gogh book to give me a grand total of 22 pounds. That’s over half what I would carry on a wilderness backpacking trip! That’s alright… you can judge me on this. I’m in good spirits, today!
Click Me!! for my one day free download fall promotion of my new book! November 30th only… if you get one, AND read it, please rate and review it on the Amazon link called Click Me!! Thank You So Much!!
And so, I’m figuring out some things about the purpose of this blog, for me. I’m not going to nail it down, completely, but will define it as a sounding board, tool for developing accountability, a venting opportunity, creative outlet, promotional venue, community builder, and journal. Aside from that, I’m going to keep it pretty fluid… Don’t fence me in, bro!
Today, I continue digitizing Cloud Man for publication, altering one of my license agreements for a map poster project to be promoted by next week, survey interest for beginner acoustic guitar lessons for adults, brainstorm the perfect cash flow product, build a book cover for my first book to send to Createspace for on demand hard copies, and start production on the next of the “Adventures of Tat the Bat and Nolan” series.
I’ve decided to write my next book on paper, to start, knowing that I will need to transfer it to the computer, in the end. The reason is inspired by the reading the proof of my first book, I recently received from Createspace. I read it differently on paper. Plus, when I transfer it to computer, I’m allowed another opportunity to study and alter the content.
I’m not going to post a song, like previous posts, today. I just have too much to do!
Thank you for your time!
